Coming Soon: The Good Things Cafe

A Space for Community, to Connect, and to Create
More than just a place to eat and drink, the Good Things community cafe is the natural next step for the Good Things Collective. Our cafe is built on the belief that creativity doesn’t start with a finished piece of art, it starts with feeling welcome. Food has always been one of the simplest, most powerful ways to bring people together, offering a reason to pause and create space for connection. We aim to be a shared, accessible space where families, neighbours, artists, and passersby can come together.

Community-Led and Run

True to our ethos, the cafe is being built with the community, not just for it. We are calling on members of the Collective and the wider Bay area community to step in, shape the cafe, and be part of running the space. The long-term ambition is for the cafe to evolve into an independent, worker-owned cooperative, rooted in shared ownership and collective responsibility.

Food already sits at the heart of our work, from monthly shared members’ meals to live music supper clubs and pop-up cafés.

Our Co-Created Menu

The Cafe's menu will be designed and inspired by the Seasons through co-creation sessions with local cooks, growers, artists, and neighbours. We want the to be rooted in place and reflective of the community who creates it - and consumes it!

Initially we're aiming for tasty & filling options available during the day:

  • Nourishing soups

  • Satisfying sandwiches

  • Comforting cakes and bakes

  • Exceptional coffee and brews

  • Locally inspired soft drinks, such as cordials and naturally fermented sodas.

We hope to host regular community preserving sessions to share skills and celebrate abundance. These sessions could focus on creating items like fermented pickles, chutneys, sauerkraut, and kimchi.
