Join us on Wednesday 27th August, 1pm–6pm at GTC, for Threads of Change — a day of sewing, sharing, and storytelling.
This hands-on gathering invites community members and makers of all levels to stitch together ideas, fabric, and inspiration as we co-create artworks that will bring warmth, identity, and imagination to our new creative community café space.
Threads of Change is about celebrating the breadth of textiles practice in the local area, championing important projects and sparking new ones. Expect an afternoon filled with collaborative textile-making, lively conversation, and inspiring short talks from creative peers.
These will include:
Wendy O’Hara (Revamp Racoon) x Good Things Collective – stage curtains, collective bunting, and soft furnishings for Good Things Collective’s new creative community space.
James Fox - historical craft manufacturing and legacies of community, land wealth and possible alternative futures.
