Over the years we have designed, developed and supported a range of creative, community rooted exhibitions that aim to bring people together through art, celebrate and showcase the diverse range of creative local talent and contribute to an improved sense of community pride, stronger sense of place, local image and identity.
Keep a look out for new dates for your diary and upcoming opportunities to get creative and stay connected. Covid-19 has in some ways restricted what we can do and whilst we can't run our Second Saturday exhibition and workshop programme as we once did, instead we have refocussed and reimagined a growing series of unique community focussed, collective exhibition opportunities focussed on developing collective creativity, collaboration and strengthening relationships in the face of restrictions and isolation.
Here are a few highlights from our vast exhibition archive over the years mainly stemming from our Second Saturday programme running from our cafe come gallery space on West Street. We have been proud and delighted to offer solo exhibitions for local artists in exchange for them offering a unique and purposefully designed 2 hour workshop giving back to the local community accompany their exhibition sharing their skills and talents with the wider community.
