Following the signing of a 15-year lease in Summer 2025 we're now making improvements to our building, we're developing a longer term vision for more regular and consistent live music programming rooted in community, inclusion and artist development.

Our vision is simple:

To create a permanent, community-owned home for grassroots music in Morecambe.

A place where artists can develop their work, audiences can discover new music, and live performance becomes part of everyday cultural life.

More than a venue.

A home for grassroots music in Morecambe.

For over ten years, Good Things Collective has been creating spaces where music, community, visual art and culture come together. From intimate acoustic performances and supper clubs to community gatherings, open sessions, programming live music stages at festivals and artist residencies, live music has always been part of who we are.

What began as occasional events in a community café has gradually grown into something bigger: thriving grassroots music opportunities and collectively shaped events supporting local artists, original music and meaningful audience experiences.

Now we're taking the next step.

Where we've come from

Over the last decade we've hosted hundreds of musicians, from first-time performers to nationally touring artists. We've welcomed singer-songwriters, folk musicians, experimental artists, choirs, community groups, bands and everything in between.

Along the way we've learned that people are looking for something different:

  • Live music that feels welcoming and accessible

  • Spaces where families can attend together

  • Opportunities for emerging artists to develop and experiment

  • Events that prioritise listening, connection and community

  • A local venue where original music can thrive

Through our 2025 Arts Council-funded creative programme, we expanded our live music offer and tested new formats, including acoustic supper clubs, artist residencies, open sessions and collaborative performances.

The response confirmed what we already suspected: Morecambe needs more spaces where grassroots music can flourish.

Rob Daniels,

"In a time when genuine community spaces are disappearing, GTC provides a place where creativity, connection and belonging can flourish. I've seen people find a foothold through GTC, transforming isolation and struggle into creativity, confidence and connection. It's one of my favourite places to perform."

Nina Jones,

"Grassroots venues and communities like Good Things Collective are vital for local culture. Good Things Collective creates accessible, inclusive spaces where artists and audiences who are often underrepresented can feel seen, supported and inspired."

Jennie Wren,

“As independent music venues and pubs continue to disappear, it is more important than ever to create inclusive spaces where people can experience live music, support emerging artists, and foster a stronger sense of community.”
