We're hiring! Fundraising and Development Officer

We are pleased to be recruiting for a Fundraising and Development Officer, with support from Architectural Heritage Fund.

The main focus of this role will be on Centenary House (more commonly known as the old Coop or the Coop locally) as a creative, community enterprise hub working in partnership with Lancaster City Council.

Since forming in the Summer of 2015 we quickly identified the need for, demand and understanding of the role buildings and spaces play in community life.

Soon after moving into and opening the doors of our first home in 7 West Street we soon expanded to working across 4 shop units and then across the road in to the part derelict Trinity Methodist Church, on a meanwhile use basis operating co-working, enterprise and project space. Upon leaving the Church we then moved to our current temporary venue in Morecambe Arndale in a former Argos unit on a temporary licence agreement where we have a pop-up gallery, artist studios and host a range of creative equipment for members. The Coop will enable us to bring all of our activities, projects and operations under one roof whilst providing purpose fit, quality facilities and the security needed to fully realise our goals and aspirations along with many other local artists, small businesses and social enterprises too.

We are looking for someone with the experience developing projects of this scale, associated fundraising strategy and significantly successfully securing funding to make projects like this happen. If you have the skills, experience and confidence in your abilities and like the sound of joining our team and working with us to make plans for a community-led redevelopment of Centenary house a reality please get in touch and apply. This is an exciting and important project that has the potential to create transformational impact in our area and generate possibilities and opportunities for many people living here that have long been overlooked and underinvested. We're very much looking forward to hearing from you.
