For nearly two years we’ve been disconnected from the community that we know and love, for your health, and ours. While we know that this is for the best, it doesn’t mean that we have to be happy about it, we’ve never been an organisation that likes to work away from people and we are desperate to be around you again!
We’ve slowly started re-opening our doors, starting with exhibitions and small working groups, but we are taking another step back to normality and having open studio days! Every Thursday starting on 14th October 2021, the Good Things studio doors will be open (or at the very least unlocked, it can get chilly in the Arndale!) from 10am-4pm with a workshop running from 1pm-4pm.
This means that anyone who wishes to come and work in the studio can do so, that might be just to be around other people, work on a project or to access our scrap store and get crafty!
Afternoon workshops will be run by a member of The Collective, to design and create some of the products for our Good Things Shop range. Each workshop should be
fun and different, so if you want to learn how to screenprint, keep your eyes peeled and pop down the week we’re doing screenprinting. We’re starting the workshops by doing some woodworking with Jo and starting to create some ladder shelves.
While we would love to throw open the doors and encourage everyone and anyone to get involved, we are still very conscious of the health of our community, so we will be operating on a reduced capacity. If you don't want to miss out on a workshop, or would really like to work in a co-working space, we'd advise that you let us know in advance so we can reserve space, otherwise we will be operating on a first-come, first served basis.
Similarly, Tuesdays will be open to Collective members who would like to access the studio as a co-working space, for more information on how to become a collective member, please check out The Collective page on our website.
If you’d like to know what the workshops will be, check out the calendar on our website, which has all of our upcoming events and exhibitions.
