1st April - 30th April

Food Talk Create! is a collaborative project between Eggcup’s Morecambe outlet, “Food People. Community.” and the Good Things Collective. We hope to bring members from both our groups together to create artwork, fuel discussions around food and that people will feel more connected to their community by taking part.

Over the 4 week project period you are invited to try out the activities and have a go at making your own food inspired artwork and add to the window display. We’ll work towards making some artwork to decorate the walls and counters, as well as to include in a community cookbook. This will include cooking tips and tricks from other members, recipe ideas generated from discussions between members, and artwork from people who get involved along the way.

Design & branding by Molly Bland.

When is it?

The project will run throughout April.

Each week will have a different focus and activity that you can drop in and out of as you wish throughout the project duration. The cookbook will be launched at the end of April alongside an outdoor painting activity celebrating the community cookbook launch.

You don’t
have to be a member to join in!

How can I get involved?

If you are a member of Eggcup, you can pick up a creative activity pack when you do your weekly shopping, or ask your named collector to pick one up for you. Eggcup volunteers are on hand if you want to ask for more information in person or you can contact us by email or phone using the details below.

Keep your eye out for weekly project updates on the blackboard in store.

We welcome everyone who would like to join the Food Talk Create! project to get involved and join the conversations.

Your ideas will be used to create a collaborative, community cookbook and mural designs to decorate the shop, and an exhibition of x-stitch art to add colour to the walls.
